Randy King
"The Candidate"
Randy King was born March 29, 1954 in Bonaire, Georgia. He moved to Fort Valley, Georgia in 1957 and was educated in the public schools of Peach County. He is an honorably discharged U.S. Air Force Vietnam era veteran.
After completion of honorable service to his country, he attended Fort Valley State College (University) in Fort Valley, Georgia and Georgia Military College, Milledgeville, Georgia.
He is married to the former Eve Jacquelyn Tabor of Albany, Georgia. Eve attended Albany State University and is presently working at Robins AFB as a Human Resource Specialist. The Kings have three children (Govoni, Hannah and Jordan) and two grandchildren (Lauren and Madison).
Randy King received his license to preach the gospel from the Central Union Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Valley, Georgia April 18, 1993. He received an Ordination the following year. He is an Ordained Elder of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where he currently pastors White’s Chapel C.M.E. Church in Barnesville Georgia. He has been employed for twenty-seven years at Robins Air Force Base and is an Environmental Protection Specialist.
He is a past member of the Peach County Health Department Board of Directors, Hunt Educational and Cultural Center Board of Directors, Twiggs County ‘Stay in School’ Board of Directors, and the City of Fort Valley Zoning and Appeals Board. He is actively involved with community initiatives striving to improve the quality of life for the citizens in and around Fort Valley and Peach County, Georgia. His philosophy in life is: “Be a silent doer.”
Eve King
"The Woman Behind the Candidate"
Eve Jacquelyn Tabor was born in Albany, Georgia to a high school English teacher and a Police detective, both of which were untimely deceased. Eve believes that the extended family that she grew up with very significantly influenced who she has become. With their loving support and encouragement, they demonstrated real love and commitment.
She is a graduate of Albany High School where she served as vice president of her senior class. Eve pursued higher education at Albany State University (ASU). She graduated Magna Cum Laude after three years with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After teaching high school in Dawson, Georgia and later working as a customer service representative with BellSouth Telecommunications, she was hired by Robins Air Force Base where she has been employed for seven years as a Human Resources Specialist.
In November of 2001, she married Randy King, relocated to Fort Valley, Georgia and became the doting mother of a very precious daughter, Jordan. Eve was a member of Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society and was inducted into the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., serving her chapter as Grammetus.
Currently, Eve busies herself with “everything Jordan,” working in the church and very recently, volunteering with Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. Eve King’s philosophy of life comes from a song lyric performed by Hannah Montana: “Life is what you make it, so let’s make it rock!”
